GoModesto: Picnic on the Go

If you are in need of a quick picnic, or even everything for a family BBQ, stop by the Chopping Block at 2625 Coffee Rd between the hours of 9-6 pm Daily and Denise and her staff will take care of you.
It had been too long since we had a picnic, so we headed over to the Chopping Block to load the ole picnic basket with goodness. Started out with fresh veggies, carrots, broccoli, celery and zucchini and paired it with homemade ranch and hummus for dips. We added salami and cheese, picking up Italian Salami from Columbus. Brie and assorted cheeses and crackers. Columbus has tender prosciutto if you like that better. We also picked up some BLT Sliders with chipotle mayo and a side of smoked cheddar bacon potato salad. They also carry an assortment of local cheeses, nuts and spreads to make your picnic extra delicious. I am thinking next time I want to grill some of their house-made sausages, slice them up and maybe make sliders with them or just use a pick and stack sausage bites, cheese chunks and olives.  Regardless of what you are looking for the Chopping Block have a full deli and butcher cases for all your needs. 209-408-8850
