You’re Invited to Join Sunday Afternoons at CBS as We Celebrate 25 Years All Season Long
By Tina Driskill

Sunday Afternoons at CBS Sunday will kick off a season-long 25th Anniversary Celebration starting this coming Sunday September 25th with the heart thumping, toe tapping sounds of Dirty Cello, cello, guitar and percussion with a twist of Klezmer, lots of high energy blues and blue grass and lots of Happy.

The 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner at a beautiful Victorian home and grounds in Modesto will follow the Dirty Cello Concert. All 2016-17 concerts begins at 3 pm at Congregation Beth Shalom, 1705 Sherwood Avenue, in Modesto.

The season will continue on Oct. 30 with Clive Carroll, virtuosic guitar master from the UK, who opened for Tommy Emmanuel at Modesto’s State Theater. We will be celebrating that afternoon with a special beer tasting and savories.

On November 13 we will welcome back CBS founding family member Alan Arnopole and California Zephyr followed by a pasta and wine dinner.

We will welcome 2017 with Patty Castillo Davis Y Campadres on January 22. Patty has invited a talented group of local and Bay Area singers and musicians to join her in a Celebration of Women, featuring Jewish, Latin American, American pop, jazz, rhythm and blues.

Our always popular Grace Lieberman and Friends Valentine Concert on February 12 will be followed by the 2nd Annual Valentine Tea catered by David Bradford. Our first tea with David’s divine goodies was a sell out, so be sure to buy your tickets early with your season subscription.

The Season 25 finale brings the return of Genticorum from the French Canadian Eastern Seaboard, a group of equally talented and witty Quebecois musicians.

Plan ahead now to be on hand for a season filled with beautiful and exciting music and grand opportunities to share the fun. We love bringing these outstanding concerts and special events to you, and want to thank you for your continued support of Sunday Afternoons at CBS.
