A Love Affair With Music

My Valentine to you is wrapped in the familiar and that is what makes it tasty. Without going backwards and rehashing what we have lost in the way of venues and fresh modes to portray art, I would like to highlight a gem. Small. Precious. The Queen Bean has again discovered a formula for creating a niche in the scene and refreshing the ideals of Singer Songwriters. Since January 6, the Friday Night Unplugged mini concert series has been in full swing. From 6-8 pm, two artists perform entirely acoustic indoors. It is as close to a personal concert in your home as you will get in impression and environment. The design of Tyler and Christina of the Band, Me & You serve as hosts and artist in residence. Please bring your family and enjoy a free evening of great music and good company.

On Thursday, February 16, the Black Oak Casino brings Country Music Legacy Royalty Songwriter Pam Tillis to the area. Daughter of Country Music Legend Mel Tillis, the Nashville born and raised artist is prolific in piano and guitar and known for her penchant for diverse restylings of Country music. “Don’t Tell Me What To Do”, “Queen of Denial”,”Shake The Sugar Tree” and “Maybe It Was Memphis” became giant hits and earned her way onto the charts and into the hearts of music fans across the genres.
