Ballet folklorico de Sacramento comes to Modesto for second show

40 dancers and Musicians will take you on a journey through the folklore of a people.

Ballet folklorico de Sacramento (BFS), presents Mexico y sus Alrededores (Mexico and its Surroundings).

Dr. Zenon Barron again creates an original masterpiece, of dance choreograph that captures traditions, and presents it with expressive interpretation.

Mexico y sus Alrededores (Mexico and its Surroundings) embraces folklore, with the ritual danzas (indigenous dances) of The Mexica (Aztec) people, to the courting rituals of the “Polkas” of Chihuahua, or the colorful festivals “Veracruzano” of Veracruz and much more.  With live music accompaniment this presentation will have you wanting to join the dancers on the stage and join the celebration.  Mexico y sus Alrededores (Mexico and its Surroundings) will be presented at Gallo Center for the Arts, www.galloarts.org, Sunday April 12, 2015 at 2:00pm
