WOO! It’s Hot August once again! There’s nothing quite like the sizzle of a Hot August day to raise your temperature and leave you wondering what to do while keeping cool. Luckily, you and your wallet can avoid the heat while having a great time in Mo-town. Here are a handful of things to check out around Modesto to stay cool on a budget!

4) Beat the heat in style! Nothing to wear? Clean out your closet and warm up your wardrobe with a new look from HUT No.8. They are a great clothing exchange located in the Marshalls parking lot. They buy and sell accessories, shoes and clothing. Check them out at:

3) Cool out with some great cuisine! Located in the heart of downtown Modesto, Vito’s Ristorante boasts some of the finest cuisine in town for a reasonable price. 2) Be a Hot Child in the City. A great way to spend a HOT AUGUST night is listening to some great music. Pick up your ticket to Modesto’s own original festival, X-Fest, on August 4th and party the night away. 1) Take in a Sizzlin’ Summer Blockbuster The hottest new movies can be seen up on the big screen at Brendan Theaters in downtown Modesto. Weekday specials include $5 movies, M-Th before 6 pm.
