Make-A-Wish® Looks to San Joaquin County for Volunteers

Sacramento,CA (September 2015) Make-A-Wish Northeastern California and Northern Nevada is looking for committed and passionate volunteers in the San Joaquin area. Selected volunteers will assist in making wishes a reality for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Make-A-Wish Northeastern California and Northern Nevada is hosting an informative Volunteer Orientation on Friday, September 4 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at The Health Plan of San Joaquin, 7751 S Manthey Rd French Camp, CA to encourage citizens of the San Joaquin counties to join the ranks of Make-A-Wish volunteers! Join current volunteers and staff and invite friends and family to learn more about Make-A-Wish, the wish granting process, and how to help grant wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. Make-A-Wish Northeastern California and Northern Nevada has granted more than 5,400 wishes to children within its 37-county service area, and the volunteers of Make-A-Wish play a number of vital roles in the Wish Granting process. There are currently more than 300 active volunteers that contribute to the mission. The volunteers of Make-A-Wish are devoted to the mission of granting wishes to children diagnosed with life threatening medical conditions. Many of the volunteers are deeply connected to the mission as well.
