Live at Studio B, the local CD
featuring tons of national bands that played here in town
is nearly sold out. Get it quick so that you can get the special
music video, produced by ModestoView and Audio Video Headquarters.
It is only 10 bucks so you have no excuse.
Flying Blind is creeping up the
charts nationwide. Look for their hit song, Smokescreen, on
over 80 stations nationwide. Andrew, Scott, Matt, Jeff and
Keith are also hoping for a huge Raider victory. Look for
them in the Black Hole. Also look for Chris Ricci in the same
spot. If you see a black Suburban around town with Raider
flags, honk and have him give you some of the new Flying Blind
stickers.
Look for Grandaddy on the Late, Late show
with Craig Kilborn, 1 am on January 19th. Set your
alarm clocks if you do not stay up late. This is a rare view
of this local Modesto band.
Flying Blind CD release the sequel,
Feb 2 at Jonathons' Ballroom (elks) the Universal Republic
CD Push will be released. This features all the new remixed
tracks, the new version of Smokescreen and a new track Work
So Hard. Do not miss this event. You can see FB at Tower Records
in Stockton on Jan 23, and a Wherehouse in Modesto the actual
day the disc is released.
Did you know that you can take guitar lessons from the awesome
Darrin Morris? You can hook up with him through Barkers
music.
Members of the legendary Modesto band Buster
Cherry have been spotted playing again locally. There
is a new band called N2O recording some tracks at Roger Hanners'
Celestial Sounds Studio and featured Mark Macsenti. Phil Anderson
another Buster Cherry alumnus, played a couple of gigs with
the local band Third Party. He brings that rock expertise
to the people he plays with.
The State Theater has a new website,

Hollopoynt is now without a lead
singer. Man oh man they were well on the way to being the
next big thing and this happens. We hope that they pull this
thing back together.
