Local band N2O featuring Gary Gervase and other local veterans of rock and roll have released their new CD. Look for clips soon and more info from the band.

If you caught Wednesday's (Feb 14) SF Chronicle, you saw that Modesto's Grandaddy has been nominated for 4 BAMMY awards. First the MAMAs, now the BAMMIES, next up GRAMMIES.

There is a new band called MoDdom. www.moddom.net founded by local musician and music writer Joe Cabiles. They are looking for a guitarist and a bass player (aren't we all) for a new line up. Contact Joe through the MoDdom website.

There is a really cool CD, Sursum Corda, from an Oakdale resident, Vinni Smith. Very cool, carribean, mex, blues combination. Killer lead instrumental guitar. Hopefully we can see him locally again soon. Check out his CD, with cover art by Never Boring. You can email Vinni at shotgun@onemain.com There is so much talent around here.

If you are rockin to Rock 96.7 like we are, you have B93.1 jock Jack Paper to thank. After doing his own afternoon show, he is delivering a great rock playlist everyday. Mmmm, is it good to have rock on the airwaves again?

Rock Shows are coming to Tequila Willie's. Chris Ricci and Rock 96.7 are bring rock to Willie's. Check out the first installment on Feb 25 with local faves Built, Feed and Hollywood Records artist Duiffuser. Tix at Music Go Round or Bass.

The latest from Chris Ricci:

Report in from Grandma the UK.
Modesto's Grandaddy Rock Band will be appearing tonight, at the Northrumbia University in Nerwcastle Upon Tyne, England (my home town) and a two page spread about the band, appeared in the Newcastle Sunday Paper. Grandaddy is touring Great Britain, where they have appeared on the BBC and are enjoying phenomenal success!!! They are the favourite group of rock legend, David Bowie. It doesn't get much better than that. Grandma
