Open House for SR 99 Pelandale Avenue Interchange Project

Open House for SR 99 Pelandale Avenue Interchange Project City to replace interchange and relieve traffic congestion

The City is hosting an Open House to share information and receive input from the community about the Pelandale Avenue Interchange Reconstruction Project on Wednesday, April 30 from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Abundant Life Center located at 3120 Snyder Avenue, Modesto, CA.

This project includes reconstruction of the Pelandale Avenue overcrossing, the SR 99 on and off ramps and construction of a southbound auxiliary lane.

“The project will improve safety, alleviate traffic congestion within the area, and improve access for all modes of transportation,” said Bill Sandhu, City Engineer for the City of Modesto. “The City’s goal is to maintain community access throughout construction, which we expect will take place between May 2014 and be completed in early 2017.”

The Open House will include information stations with exhibits, maps, and a project schedule. City staff and members of the project team will be available to answer questions and discuss ideas in an informal format.

The public is invited to drop by the Open House any time between 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. For questions about the meeting, please contact Ciara Zanze at 916-442-1168 or czanze@aimconsultingco.com
