Sharp Fashion & Craft Cocktails at Blades and Bottles

Sharp Fashion & Craft Cocktails at Blades and Bottles
By Chris Murphy

We love it when something exciting, fresh and new happens, especially when it involves the collisions of culture; art, design, beauty and one of our favorite things, craft cocktails.

Modesto couple Adam Soares and Allison Dowdy have opened a new bar and salon called Blades & Bottles. It is a new combination full bar and hair salonbar. The new bar which takes up the space’s entire ground floor, is a great new space and is the showcase and focus. Upstairs there is space for 9 hair styling stations and there will be a new tattoo station and future meeting room space. Adam and Allison have a history in design and bar building and felt it was time to put all of their ideas together in this new steel, industrial layout that would feel right at home in the lush-chic Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. The cocktail list is really interesting with the Gin Faded and a Smoked Rosemary Old Fashioned. They have a full wine and beer menu as well and great spaces to sit and hang out.

The downstairs bar is open daily from 9 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The upstairs salon until 8 p.m. In the evening hours, the upstairs will be available with bar stools for bar use. Allison and Adam are planning on having live music and comedy on a regular basis.

This is an interesting space with big glass windows and with the balconies will be a great place to hang out and for great people watching.

We hope to see you there.
