GoYosemite -Yosemite Tapestries

GoYosemite

Since we are featuring Yosemite this month in the April ModestoView, check out the upcoming Show to focus on Yosemite and the Environment. This is a benefit sale planned online and in-person. The Yosemite Tapestries and Preserving Our Wilderness exhibition opens April 1 to 30 at the Mistlin Gallery. Nine large panels by Miriam McNitt (1917-2002) will be featured in the main gallery during this open exhibition. The “tapestries” are yarn paintings that were originally commissioned by Yosemite National Park and hung in the Yosemite Visitor Center for many years. Don’t miss this.
Gallery hours Thur & Fri 11:30 – 5, Sat 12 to 4 or by appt.
