Isn’t it great to have a Pop Culture Convention (or 3) right here in Modesto #homeofStarWars? For fans of comics,  cosplaying, science fiction, fantasy and all things Star Wars I think the answer is a resounding…YES!

December 4th we see the Return of Central Valley Con, brought to you by the Godfather of 209 Conventions, Mike Millerick (the mastermind behind Stockton Con and Grape City Con.) Central Valley Con is a one-day all things geeky gathering and was a blast last year. It was the first Convention to happen in Modesto (since then, 2 more have popped up.) Once again it’s returning to Modesto Centre Plaza and expected to even bigger and better than last year.

With over 100 vendors and artists, the Modesto Centre Plaza will be packed with incredible deals just in time for the holidays. The price is just $5 in advance and $8 at the door with kids under 12 getting in FREE, making it a bargain to take the whole family out for a day of geeky fun.

Scheduled appearances by Cameron Jebo and Ciara Hanna (Power Rangers Megaforce), Scott Schwartz (A Christmas Story), C. Andrew Nelson (A Nightmare Before Christmas/Star Wars Episode II) and more. Along with featured artist from DC, Marvel, Darkhorse Ramon Villalobos, Chris Marrinan, Ethen Beavers just to name a few.

Fun panels, video games, the Geek Fashion Show, a Cosplay Contest, and members of the 501st Legion and other fan clubs all rounding out a day of fun and excitement. Make your plans, dress up and have fun going downtown Modesto. #goDoMo

Tickets are available online and at Bonanza Comics and Books, Banzai Cards and Comics, Invincible Comics and Utopia Cards and Games.
