Hi everyone! I hope the start to your summer was a blast, here are five things that you should do to keep the fun going.

1. On the first night of summer break, my best friends and I all went to see the band “Stop Motion Poetry” at Deva Cafe. That was when we really started appreciating Modesto’s groovy music scene. Deva Cafe, The Barkin Dog Grill, Queen Bean and many other places will be having live music through the summer and the year so make sure you don’t miss out on that. To see Deva’s food menu, visit www.dineatdeva.com

2. Queen Bean Coffee House. A cute cozy place with tea, coffee and snacks! Sunday’s are open mic so go and enjoy music on their outdoor patio.

3. Stonehenge Indoor Rock Climbing Gym. A great spot for an adventurous workout or even a birthday party. Stonehenge welcomes people of all ages and ability! Visit www.climbstonehenge.com for more information.

4. Go to a Nuts game! This is tons of fun for everyone, with play structures for the kids and exciting hometown baseball. There are even fireworks on certain nights. Visit www.modestonuts.com for more information.

5. Stanislaus River Rafting is great to do as a family or even as a team event. Now in two locations, Knights Ferry and Oakdale; visit www.riverjourney.com to book your trip.

I know this summer will continue to be amazing. The most important aspect to having a good time, is doing it with the right people. Make sure you spend time with people who make you happy and teach you how to be a better more wonderful you! I hope you have a rockin month.
