GoModesto – TEDxModesto

TEDxModesto is coming to the Gallo Center

Let’s put Modesto on the top of those national lists.
We need to constantly tell our story and promote our positive elements. This focus on improvement is being highlighted in this year’s TEDx event. The theme chosen for 2017 is “ideas that elevate.” It is this perspective, where members of our community have come together to help make our city better, that all of the speakers have in common. Each one will be representing their individual idea for helping others or the self.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events, under license from TED, that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Featured this year will be: Erica Ormsby – PhD candidate, Freedom Genesis Chief Galen Carroll – Modesto Police Dept. Emmanuel Escamilla – Harvard, CodeX Eric Jung – Love Our Cities Elizabeth Wight – Interfaith Ministries Sherry McIntyre – Johansen HS Sam Pierstorff – MJC, The Ill List, American Ninja Warrior. It will be an amazing night of positive insight and ideas.
