December Family Events at the Modesto Library

If you are looking for family fun and awesome entertainment then a visit to the Modesto Library is a must! Families visiting the library in the month of December can enjoy exciting crafts and activities and even attend a spectacular magic show! The month begins with a fun game of Holiday Bingo that will run from Dec. 2 to 31. Children aged 11 and under who complete a bingo reading log will be entered into a drawing. Ninjas will take over the library on Ninja Day taking place on Thursday, Dec. 5. Children can search for the ninjas hiding in the Children’s department and participate in a fun craft in the auditorium at 4:30 p.m. Families can attend a free scrapbooking program on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 12:30 p.m. Local scrapbooker, Anna Soto, will discuss the art of scrapbooking. Some materials will be available but participants are encouraged to bring their own materials and photos. The library will finish off a month of fun when Dan Chan the Magic Man performs on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 1 and 3 p.m. Dan Chan the Magic Man boasts a unique blend of talents including mind-boggling feats of telepathy! Free tickets are available one hour prior to each show at the Children’s department desk.
