ParadeView – Murphy Named Grand Marshall

ModestoView Publisher Named Grand Marshal
The Modesto Kiwanis has named Chris Murphy, Grand Marshal of the 142nd Annual Modesto 4th of July Parade. The Modesto parade is one of the longest running annual celebrations west of the Mississippi River and this tradition reaches across the entire community. For the last 5 years, Chris has been the voice of the parade, announcing all of the floats and celebrating the Modestocana that makes our community special. The previous announcer was the long serving Modesto historian, veteran, Clamper, Shriner and all around great guy Al Menshew. Chris thanks Al for the inspiration and hopes to continue to follow in his footsteps and thanks Parade Committee Chair Jeremiah Williams for his dedication to making our city better and being the ultimate parade champion.
