Spring is a tough act to follow, God created June -Al Bernstein

It’s Gemini season! This means June should be spent with your friends doing things that are energetic and intellectual! This is a month to be conscious of your environment, figuratively and literally. Be sure to surround yourself with positive and inspiring people, while also loving our earth by recycling and producing less gas waste! The zodiac season of Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which is the guardian of transportation. When is the last time you hopped on your bike to eat downtown or get to Concert in the Park? Biking around town is also a great way to get more in touch with your surroundings!

A young, local business that I am extremely excited about is “Heavenscent”! This is a growing beauty product shop that uses natural ingredients, pure vitamins and essential oils in their body scrubs, bath soaks, bath truffles, soaps, bath bombs and much more! The owner Alicia O’Beirne explained to me that once she got pregnant, she realized how many harsh chemicals are in the products on our store shelves. This encouraged her to research and discover how to make the best products possible, that are all natural. Not only are these items healthy for you, but they are also beautiful and smell good! Alicia can even customize the formula of her products based on your skin type! If you want to support this lovely business, search @heavenscent_byalicia on Instagram! This is where you can look at products and make orders!

A very exciting event happening at The State Theatre is “Bring Your Own Dog” movie nights! At the last BYOD event, 77 dogs attended!!! Mark your calendars because on Thursday, June 28 at 7pm, The State will have a dog friendly showing of “Best in Show”, a comedy about the competitive dog show industry. This is an event you and your furry friend won’t want to miss!
