October in Modesto is stacked full of fun that you won’t want to miss. Since Halloween and all things spooky dominate this big month, definitely try to pace yourself. Here are some bargains to make the most of your fun!

There’s no spooky season without the pumpkins for Jack-o’-lanterns. Dutch Hollow Farms Pumpkin Farm is open for the month and ready for you to visit to pick your perfect pumpkin. Don’t forget that there’s a lot more to take in. The family-friendly farm features a corn maze, petting zoo, and more fun activities. The Pumpkin Patch is open daily with free parking. Sometimes the change of season brings things to a close. October 3rd marks the end of the season for the DoMo first Friday event. The family-friendly DoMo free market event spans two blocks, featuring entertainment, artists, vendors, and local cuisine in downtown Modesto. Trick-or-treating is a traditional activity for all ages, and trunk-or-treats are a great, safe way for everyone to enjoy the season. ValleyDreamCar is hosting its 5th Annual Trunk or Treat celebration on October 12th at the Graffiti USA Car Museum. The family-friendly event invites you to come in your costume, fill up bags with candy, check out all the classic cars, and then enjoy activities for the whole family. Halloween isn’t just for the kids. Modesto Children’s Museum returns October 24th with another adults-only night from their After Dark Series, Cosmic Curiosities. The event features a Halloween twist, with metaphysical and otherworldly experiences, themed activities, and hands-on exhibits, making it a night of fun for those 21+.
