Spring has sprung, and things are starting to heat up in Modesto. We are starting to see events kicking off, and you will see your calendars fill up fast.
First Friday kicks off the 2026 season on the 3rd of April with tons of vendors, DJs, and music coming from the 10th Street Plaza. Speaking of Music in the Plaza, the season starts on May 1st nd going until the end of September. Throw in May the 4th, the Legends of the Cruise Walk of Fame on June 10th, Graffiti Night, and you have a packed year of music in Downtown.
Baseball is back at John Thurman Field with the Roadsters, and making things even cooler, Halee Smith Rockit Productions / Girls Smash Guitars is officially teaming up with the Modesto Roadsters to produce Saturday night post-game concerts and special themed nights all season long.
Crucial Kick is celebrating the release of their EP at Queen Bean Coffee House on Saturday, April 11th, with Tovidence, Dreamer A.M., Blazed, and 60juno. Doors at 5:00 pm. This will be a night of Emo, Post Punk, and Indie. All Ages.
April 18th, the Central Valley Ska Festival III comes to the Queen Bean Coffee House with Sacto Storytellers(Sacramento), Lesdystics(Sacramento), The Bracers(Modesto), Ants in My Eyes Johnson(Chico), Iwanaga(Fresno), and Lucky CuZn Brass Band(Sonora). Joining the festivities will be DJ M-80 and DJ Norbert Rix. Get your tickets early from Eventbrite. Doors at 2 pm. All Ages.
