“I Saw the Sine”Electronic Music Concert offered at MJC

The Modesto Junior College Department of Music presents “I Saw the Sine” – Electronic Music Concert on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall on East Campus, 435 College Avenue, Modesto. The concert is open to the public and admission is free with donations gratefully accepted.

The concert features original electronic music compositions created by student composers from MJC’s Electronic Music 2 class. The featured composers featured are Carlos Brionez and Elijah Martinez. The MJC Electronic Music Studio Director, David Dow, is also performing an original electronic music composition.

The music is created using synthesizers, computer-controlled synthesizers, samplers and digital effects. Some of the compositions are performed live while others are pre-recorded performances. Special lighting effects, video displays and slides accompany the compositions.

He is lead singer and guitarist for his band, Third Party that donates their performances to non-profits.
