Spandau Ballet On Tour

Spandau Ballet On Tour
By Efren Martinez

Spandau Ballet starts it’s North America tour on January 23rd 2015 in San Francisco. It’s been nearly 30 years since they’ve played together so when I got the invite to attend their show and speak with them prior to, I not only got excited, but I also dropped the ball. In short, I wasn’t available for our schedules to cross paths. Anyhow, some of you were there for the first go round and those of you who weren’t, well you better catch up because we wouldn’t have a lot of bands today if it weren’t for Spandau Ballet.

Back in my hey days, they were known for their synthetic pop and dance pioneering early singles to the globe trotting smash hits such as “True” and “Gold”. Spandau Ballet will once again be bringing to life the music from their 6 multi-platinum albums and 23 hit singles. If you didn’t get a download of their greatest hits package released last fall – The Story – The Very Best of Spandau Ballet – be sure to hit them up on their North American tour.

On Friday, your favorite fivesome will be passing through San Francisco to play the Warfield Theatre on January 23rd 2015. On another music note, I’m still working on getting with Spandau Ballet to bring you a Modesto View interview, so keep your eyes and eras open for another Efren J music exclusive.

In case you missed it, they were recently on The Today Show for an 80’s flash back performance, here’s the link below.
