We love to celebrate the good in Modesto and we honor those that give their time and effort and take on outsized role in making Modesto better. On January 10, the American Legion Post 74 will honor the 2026 Citizen of the Year. Ann Endsley has served our community with grace, creativity and endless contribution and dedication. She has opened her home and business to our local non-profits, has hosted events at her downtown business Greens and is an inspiration to many. Brad Hawn, a local structural engineer, artist and civic servant will be honored as the Community Hero of the Year. Brad has donated his art, home, professional skills to create civic projects for community improvement has been an advocate for homeless service solutions.
Please plan to attend this dinner and celebration at the Stanislaus Veterans Center and celebrate these amazing and deserving people. As a former Citizen of the Year in 2019, I celebrate these people that are making such a big difference in Modesto.
