The Cesar Chavez Community Celebration Committee (a nonprofit organization, 501 C 3) will be hosting the
Third Annual Black History Month Empowerment Luncheon Fundraiser. This year’s theme is “Blacks in Ministry.”
We want to continue to “Build Bridges” in our community with all of our neighbors. We need to lift each other up, not bring us down.
The luncheon is Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026 11:30am-1:30pm
Red Event Center, 921 8th Street, Modesto, CA 95354.
Our invited speakers are:
****Pastor Tracie Anderson, Jezeel Life Church
****Pastor Karyn Clark, Westside Neighborhood Church of God & Christ
****Pastor Terry Jones, New Life Foundation Ministries
****Pastor Evan Moore, LightHouse of the Valley
Lunch tickets are $30.00 each. $25.00 for Senior Citizens, Students and Veterans. A table for 8 guests is $250.00, and that includes your name in the Program as a table sponsor.
Corporate sponsor is $500.00 and that would include your name on all printed materials, and a table of 8 for the lunch and live mentions by the Mistress of Ceremony.
As with so many nonprofits, we already have a waiting list of Senior Citizens, Students and Veterans that want to attend. Their lunch is $25.00 each if you wish to sponsor.
This past November, our community lost an outstanding member. Gladys Williams was a long-time dedicated teacher with Modesto City Schools, an advocate, community leader, organizer and friend. We miss her and her smile. We are honoring her and dedicating this luncheon in her memory.
PLEASE RSVP BY 2/23/26 as we need to provide a headcount to the caterer. Call or text (209) 303-2664 or email maggiemejia1948@mail.com<mailto:maggiemejia1948@mail.com>. RSVP now, pay on the date of luncheon by cash, check or credit card.
