AdeleView – Thank you!

By Chris Murphy

Thank you Adele!
It’s always cool when Modesto is mentioned in a positive way. So how surprised were we when we discovered the hidden track on her new Columbia Records album 30 named Wild Wild West. It was reminiscent of Route 66 as Adele lists a couple of cities that were apparently both influential and rhyming. As usual, trash talk was all over the internet saying there is no way she was in Modesto. But she was, thanks to B93.1 radio.

Those of you that remember the Underground Lounges will surely remember that Adele was here to promote her song Chasing Pavements of her debut album 19 at Clayton’s on H St (now Urbano). She had a good time, hung out with guests and shared stories. The very next day, Adele was nominated for a Grammy for the Best New Artist. Talk about a cool experience that landed us on her new #1 album. Be proud Modesto and let’s make sure that we support our local radio stations so that these kinds of events can happen in the future. Download and listen to this album.

Make sure you get the edition with the bonus tracks. It is a good listen and Modesto gives it a big thumbs up!
