There is a vast amount of excitement and chaos towards the end of the school year. Though having a lot on your plate can be appealing, it is extremely important to take a step back and reflect on yourself! I consider April a month of rejuvenation. There are many ways that you can treat yourself to a break from daily chaos.

One of the most rewarding things I have done for myself in 2018 was getting a massage at NTouch BodyWork & Healing Arts! From beginning to end, the experience was beyond authentic and professional. The hour long massage put me into pure bliss and I was able to think and reflect on my year so far. There’s no word to describe the experience other than tranquil. It is also primarily important to take care of your body and mind by eating healthy! I am currently hooked on the Açaí Bowl scene in Modesto. Açaí Bowls are typically composed of a smoothie/yogurt-like blend of the açaí berry (from the Amazon), topped with fresh fruits, nuts, granola and sometimes even coconut or honey. At 2 of Yogurt Mill’s Modesto locations (Roseburg and Oakdale), they have recently added these yummy bowls to the menu. The locally owned food truck, The Refuel Center, has açaí bowls, smoothies, fruit cups and rice bowls!! Follow them on Facebook to stay updated with their location!

There are so many other ways for you maintain a healthy mind! Be sure to spend time outside, listen to music, read, write and drink lots of water. I hope you all have a blessed April!
