GoModesto: Music in the Plaza

Music in the Plaza kicks off in September in conjunction with First Friday on 10th Street and in the 10th Street Plaza. Texas Funk performs on the 3rd bringing you their blend of Latin Funk, Tejano and Tex Mex to the Plaza. Threshold performs on the 10th playing all the hits from the 60’s on with a big horn section. The Plaza goes cajun on the 17th with the BluesBox Bayou Band so get ready to party like you are at Mardi Gras. Third Party will get you dancing on the 24th with the songs of the 60-80’s and a good dose of the Beatles. It all wraps up on October 1st with the 2nd First Friday with Tiffany Rose & the Outlaw Hearts good rockin’ Americana and A La Lune playing roots rock reggae with a great horn section. First Friday is 6-10 pm and Music in the Plaza 7-9 pm,

Middagh Goodwin LIVES Music. He has been booking and promoting Music, Art, and Comedy in the Central Valley for years. He ran the award-winning Plea for Peace Center in Stockton for 5 Years and has booked bands from A-Z. In addition, he is the managing editor of ModestoView and writes the MAMAView and GeekView. Middagh works with the Modesto Area Music Association and books Music in the Plaza. In addition, he owns and operates Graffiti-Con, where cars and pop culture intersects. More recently, Middagh has been working with the Graffiti USA Classic Car Museum, helping to create unique events that help raise funds and awareness of the museum and its mission.
