ModestoView News Letter

Happy St. Patrick’s Week!

You know that every one is Irish this week and it is time to celebrate.  First off, it is looking to be a gorgeous week end weekend, do prepare to be outside and have a blast.  I rode my bike along the Mensinger trail it is is hall of fame right now.

This week is jammed with great spring stuff and the March ModestoView is loaded with wonderful things to do.  I hope you have  the chance to explore Knights Ferry soon too. If you like, or don’t like SPAM, you can see SPAMALOT at the Gallo Center. It is super funny, especially if you are a Monty Python fan.

There is comedy on deck this week and a Latino Comic Con at MJC, but the top of my list this week is a double feature St. Paddy’s Day weekend. LuckyFest turns downtown Modesto into an Irish City for celebrating on Saturday. (Make sure to stop by Murphy’s Pub) and then on Sunday, the award-winning St. Patrick’s Day at P. Wexford’s.  Irish goodness all weekend long. I will be there for Irish Breakfast on Sunday morning and tapping in to the keg of Murphy’s Stout.

Please take time to get out and explore this week and don’t forget to check out awesome event calendar before you leave home or office at www.modestoview.com  –
Have a great week,  Chris Murphy

Modesto’s Taste of Ireland

By Brandilyn Brown and Christopher Mitchell

Looking for a fun way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this month? Check out on these dives and enjoy what they have to offer from Irish beer, Irish whiskey, Irish food and Irish music. Do me a favor and don’t order an Irish Car Bomb this month-a massive faux pas to celebrate this special country-as there are so many amazing Irish drinks to be had instead! Read More
