Opera Takeover – Modesto Americana Concert @ Graffiti USA Museum

by Roy Stevens

Opera Modesto organized the first ever “Americana Concert”, a celebration of 9 choirs and choruses from 6 organizations – a little bit patriotic and a lot of wonderful honoring America through the amazing music of American Composers. Opera, Musicals, Jazz, Spirituals, patriotic songs and more. It concluded with all 180 singers, children through adults, on stage together to sing a moving arrangement of America the Beautiful. Veterans and active service personnel were acknowledged and honored.
