Write Night Returns to The Queen Bean – A Space for Words, Healing, and Community
By Modesto Artists Movement

Last month’s Poetry Night and Haiku Battle was a standing-room-only success—full of laughter, vulnerability, new poet, “Shaiku,” and kazoos. The energy was electric, and the courage on that stage reminded us why we write: to be heard, to heal, to have fun, and to connect.

This month we invite you to Write Night on Wednesday, May 14, 6-9pm, at The Queen Bean Coffee & Social House. This free creative writing class is open to all levels and designed for reflection and connection with low-stakes sharing and high-impact inspiration. The only rule? You can only share what you write that night.

Write Night is a reminder that our lives are not final drafts. We’re all works in progress—editing as we go. Through writing, we practice acceptance, self-discovery, and catharsis. We purge what weighs on us and find meaning in the mess. This is more than a writing workshop. It’s a brave and safe space where stories are honored, mistakes are welcome, and community is built one word at a time.
