AllAgesView – Happy June

Happy June! For some of us this means that it is officially summer vacation, and why sit around and wonder what to do when Modesto has so much to offer? Coming up June 7th – June 9th we have The American Graffiti Festival. Cruise on downtown and celebrate one of Modesto’s most well known traditions. The car parade will be on the 7th from 6:30pm-8:30pm and the car show will take place the 8th and 9th. This is the perfect time to dress up, listen to your favorite 60s and 70s hits, and look at some classic cars. Speaking of classic, RAIN – A Tribute to the Beatles, will be performing at our beautiful Gallo Center on June 4th. Also at the Gallo Center will be Annie, on several dates later this month, put on by Modesto Performing Arts. Another great theater in Modesto is of course the State Theater which will in fact be having a Grease Sing-a-Long on June 9th.

But what I am looking forward to more than anything is the beginning of the annual Concert in the Park. It is held at Graceada park on Thursdays starting June 6th and continuing through July 11th for a total of 6 weeks. You can set up a picnic blanket and socialize with friends, neighbors, and other community members while listening to our very own MoBand play in Mancini Bowl. June is full of so many fun activities to kick off this summer and I hope to see you there!
