MoBandView – Help Rebuild the Bowl Seating

By Chris Murphy, MoBand Board of Director

Modesto just enjoyed a wonderful 103rd year of Moband. The crowds in Graceada Park loved the summer sounds, the blankets were plentiful and it was great to see the kids in the park so that a new generation will love Modesto’s amazing summertime tradition. As always, the band played a mix of old and new songs, and of course, the marches of John Phillip Sousa were a highlight.

Now MoBand needs you. If you have been to Mancini bowl recently, you know that the benches and seats are in desperate need of repair. MoBand was instrumental in creating and actually building the “Bowl” seating (Proof Mancini pictured during installation). In cooperation with the City of Modesto, we are pleased to announce that we will be replacing the seating that is missing and/or damaged. We need to raise $150,000 to complete this project for Seating and Bowl improvements.

We want to have it ready for next year’s MoBand season and of course all of the other community groups that use Mancini Bowl all year long. Please help us with this mission to make this park better for everyone. Let’s make this happen and get ready for the 2023 MoBand Season.
