MOBILE LAUNDRY SHUTTLE “FAITH” TO LAUNCH DECEMBER 6, 2019
COMPANION SERVICE TO SHOWER SHUTTLES “GRACE” AND “MERCY”

Modesto, California: Building on the success of our two mobile Shower Shuttles “Grace” and “Mercy”, Modesto City Leaders, supporters and the local community will perform the ribbon cutting to launch “Faith” – the area’s only mobile Laundry Shuttle – on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 11am to 1pm.

The event will take place at 236 S. Santa Cruz, Suite A, Modesto, CA 95354 (What Would Jesus Do Ministries, Inc. headquarters). Guests will enjoy a taco truck style lunch, tour Faith and see her in action washing and drying clothes.

When asked about the reason behind the creation of a Laundry Shuttle, Dean Dodd, President said, “… we began to notice that our Shower Shuttle customers were using the showers to hand wash their clothes while taking a shower. God put it on our hearts to develop the logical next thing: a laundry shuttle.” Think about how good a shower makes you feel … now add to that having clean clothes to wear! That is help that makes a real
difference in people’s lives here in our community.

The mobile Laundry Shuttle has taken 16 months to complete and involved more than 10,000 man-hours of labor. The approximate cost of $100,000 to construct the Laundry Shuttle was provided through in-kind donations and from donors who believe in our missionto “Restore Hope and Dignity To Those In Need”.

Operating throughout Modesto, our two Shower Shuttles provide 100+ showers per day. Since their launch in August 2016, the team has provided more than 25,000 showers to our area’s homeless, hurting and economically disadvantaged all through the support of like-minded supporters. The Laundry Shuttle will soon frequent the same locations as Shower Shuttle to offer washing and drying of our guests’ clothes.

About Us: What Would Jesus Do Ministries, Inc. is a local non-profit (501 C 3) operating Shower Shuttle and now Laundry Shuttle. Our mission is to “Restore Hope and Dignity To Those In Need.”
