The Gallo Center’s official season opening performances are always eagerly anticipated. Over the years, your choices have ranged from Jay Leno to Johnny Mathis to Peter Cetera. Legendary Dionne Warwick is next! With over 100 million recordings sold and 18 consecutive Top 100 singles, this six-time Grammy Award winner is a huge catalog of hit songs unto herself.


Next season brings a wealth of Broadway musical talent. Official touring shows coming to the Center are Beautiful—The Carole King Musical; Escape to Margaritaville (featuring the music of Jimmy Buffett); the Tony Award-winning, high-energy Bandstand; the 25th anniversary tour of the international sensation Riverdance, and the ever popular, explosively entertaining STOMP!


Every season at the Gallo Center is always chock full of blockbuster shows, and 2019/20 is no exception with, among others, Blue Man Group; the YouTube phenomena ThePianoGuys; pop music hit machine David Foster; comedian-impressionist-ventriloquist Terry Fator, Broadway star Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables), plus Mannheim Steamroller for the holidays!


Fans of rock, pop, R&B, soul and more can choose from The Isley Brothers; Sheila E; Los Lobos; BJ Thomas; The FlyBoys; Ultimate 70s Tour with Orleans, Poco and Pure Prairie League; John Tesh; a salute to Ray Charles starring Clint Holmes, Take 6 and Nnenna Freelon; One Night in Memphis, and much more!


If laugh-a-minute comedy is your thing, as always the Center delivers the goods: Ron White; Colin Mochrie’s “Hyprov;” Napoleon Dynamite LIVE; Jeanne Robertson; Frankie Quinones; San Francisco Comedy Competition; Lucas Bohn; Men Are From Mars-Women Are From Venus LIVE, and more, are headed your way!


Country music fans will be able to choose from Josh Turner, one of the truly unique voices in this genre; the wonderful roots music of John McEuen & The String Wizards; the beloved Gatlin Brothers, and that exciting fusion of traditional country and modern rock, Little Texas!


Family and children’s shows will of course be in abundance at the Center. Don’t miss magician Vitaly; the return of the huge Gallo Center hit, B—The Underwater Bubble Show; master illusionist Lance Burton; the eye-popping Cirque Flip Fabrique: Blizzard; the roaring good fun of Dinosaur World LIVE; Llama Llama LIVE, and much, much more!


The Center will once again host hugely popular Latino artists, this season including Grupo Intocable; Corazón de Manà; a Tribute to Selena by Los Chicos del 512; comedians FelipeEsparza and Frankie Quinones, and the astonishingly beautiful Ballet Folclórico Nacional de México de Silvia Lozano!


Girls’ night out shows have grown immensely popular at the Center, so for 2019/20 we are presenting Dena Blizzard (of ‘Chardonnay, Go’ fame on YouTube); the scathingly funny Little Black Dress; the perennial hit, Menopause the Musical; a wonderful parody of love, friendship and shoes, the One Woman Sex and The City Show, and Ladies of Laughter with stand-up comics Jane Condon, Jocelyn Chia and Robin Fox!


One of the best seasons ever for homegrown talent also is planned! Get ready for the 10th anniversary The Valley Talent Project show; Modesto native Sharon McNight in her one-woman tribute to Sophie Tucker; Broadway Dreams 2019: Unplugged, in which aspiring local artists train and perform with Broadway professionals; plus Joe Barretta & the Modesto All-Star Band (Tim Allen, Steve Ashman, Patty Castillo Davis and Dave Rogers)

The Gallo Center for the Arts accepts payment for tickets by cash, personal check, MasterCard, VISA and American Express. Tickets purchased online or by phone are subject to a $1 facility restoration fee and a $4 handling fee. He is also the founder of the Modesto Historic Graffiti Cruise Route, Legends of the Cruise Walk of Fame, Modesto Rockin’ Holiday, the Modesto Music History Organization and co-founder of the Modesto Area Music Association. Chris is married to his artist wife Rebecca since 1985 and has two daughters Madison and Abigail, both graduating from Modesto High and UC Berkeley. He is lead singer and guitarist for his band, Third Party that donates their performances to non-profits.
